Third Annual Eric Church Band “Put A Club In My Hand” Golf Tournament Raises $112,864 For MusiCares®

The Third Annual Eric Church Band “Put a Club in My Hand” Golf Tournament was held Monday, Aug. 4 at Gaylord Springs Golf Links. The event raised $112,864 for MusiCares®, the charitable arm of The Recording Academy® which provides a safety net of assistance for those in the music industry to help with medical, financial and personal emergencies. The funds for the donation were raised through 160 registered golfers, more than 45 generous partners (including EMI Records Nashville, Q Prime, Sony/ATV Music Publishing, BMI, Hard Rock Café, AEG Live/The Messina Group, WME, Jack Daniel’s, Dos Equis, and more), and a silent auction featuring items from artists including Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, Kenny Chesney, Easton Corbin, Florida Georgia Line, Colt Ford, Taylor Swift, and The Cadillac Three, as well as the Nashville Predators and multiple NFL, MLB, and NBA franchises.

After only three years, the event has raised more than $275,000 for MusiCares. The invitation-only tournament was an all-day event featuring an 18-hole scramble for artists, musicians, tour staff, music industry professionals, and more.

“MusiCares is overwhelmed by the generous support of the Eric Church Band and their annual Golf Tournament,” raves Debbie Carroll, Executive Director at MusiCares, “Over the past three years, the tournament has grossed close to $275,000 and those funds have gone to helping so many music people in need. They are ensuring that we can continue to make a true difference in the lives of many. We can’t thank them enough.”

Fans can watch Church and his band members perform and act in his new music video, “Cold One,”.  The song, written by Church, Jeff Hyde, and Lynn Hutton, is featured on Church’s current album The Outsiders.
