Republic Nashville’s award-winning group, The Band Perry, will premiere the video for their riotous Top 15-and-rising new single “Chainsaw” tomorrow across CMT, Clear Channel and Vevo online. The video, directed by David McClister, who shot the superstar-sibling trio’s cinematic clips for “If I Die Young” and “Postcard From Paris” will be broadcast on-air exclusively for 48-hours on CMT. Additionally, CMT and Clear Channel will pull back the curtain giving fans a sneak peek into the making of the video with special behind-the-scenes footage from the Stayton and Sublimity, Oregon shoot last month.
A combination of both performance and narrative, the video for “Chainsaw” finds the 2014 ACM Vocal Group of the Year coming to the aid of heartbroken clientele and wiping out the remnants of relationships gone sour. It also features dynamic performance footage of the band doing what they do best.
The Band Perry was also recently nominated for two 2014 CMT Music Awards – CMT Performance of the Year for their explosive performance of “My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark” with Fall Out Boy from CMT Crossroads, as well as for Group Video of the Year for their #1 smash, “DONE.” The 2014 CMT Music Awards will air LIVE from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday, June 4 at 8:00 p.m. ET.
The Band Perry will continue their tour throughout the year and will also join Blake Shelton this summer on his Ten Times Crazier Tour 2014.
