Score another hit for the Bra Country movement. What, you ask, is that? This past January, singer/co-host of NASH-FM’s America’s Morning Show Terri Clark posted “I’m starting a movement called ‘Bra Country’ … to compete with all of this “Bro Country’ … c’mon girls!!!” on her social network sites. Sheryl Crow took the cause to heart, even tweeting a local radio station “Will somebody play a woman?”
Sara Evans is proudly promoting her latest single, “Can’t Stop Loving You (a duet with The Fray’s Isaac Slade)“, as “‘bra country’ at its finest”. Sara remarked, “I have always been a big fan of The Fray and Isaac’s voice. I’m blown away by his vocals on this song and the fact that I’ve now had the opportunity to sing with him. ‘Can’t Stop Loving You’ is just incredible because it’s so dramatic and emotional. There’s so much heart put into that song and fans relate to it which is truly amazing.”
Written by Victoria Banks, Phil Barton, and Emily Shackelton, the song will make its radio impact July 21. It is the second single from Slow Me Down, Sara’s seventh studio album, which she co-produced with Mark Bright. The heart can’t be turned off by the mind – the knowledge that you’re better apart can’t switch off the deep emotional ties.
