Vocal harmonies out of Texas. The good looking Corey Kane Band does not pretend to be something they aren’t. Self proclaimed as a Country Crossover or PopCountry/Rock band, they have infused their music with flavors from genres such as jazz, blues and alternative rock. The members of the band have played at venues as diverse as Carnegie Hall in NYC and honky tonk bars in Texas. They have been involved with musicians and acts such as Stevie Nicks, Miranda Lambert, Crystal Gayle, Rick Trevino and Stoney LaRue.
The band consists of Corey Vanderhoof (vocals, guitar), Lucas Seiferman (guitar, BGVs), Frank Haggerty (keyboards, BGVs), Andrea Carroll (bass, BGVs) and Peter Elko (drums)
The Cosey Kane Band’s tune “Cheatin’ On A Country Girl” intros with a great instrumental and Corey’s vocals with its sexy twang remind me of an early Garth Brooks. A refreshing surprise are the background vocals by Andrea Carroll…which, upon first hearing, reminded me of a classic rock girl. I would have enjoyed hearing some more of her throughout this song. Strong guitar work, fiddle, keyboards and rhythm. “Cheatin’ On A Country Girl” is a choice song that beckons you to do some line dancing. Boots on, Bottoms up. “Cheatin’ On A Country Girl” has a very cool unexpected burst of energy that brings the song to a close. Makes you wanna hear some more of the Corey Kane Band.
