“All Country On You“, Austin Webb’s latest single, was co-written by Mark Irwin, Josh Kear, and Chris Tompkins. You may have already heard two songs the trio co-wrote, Carrie Underwood’s “Before He Cheats” and Tyler Farr’s “Redneck Crazy“. With those tunes in mind, the first guitar lick and you know it’s going to be about somebody who has done something to someone. Oh, but wait, this time it’s from the perspective of the one who has messed up, time after time, and what happened in response to those oh-so-not-wise-choices.
Produced by Bryon Gallimore (Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Sugarland), Austin remarked about the song,
“I know for a fact country girls are the best kind of girls, but they certainly don’t take any BS. The first time I heard the lyric ‘going all Carrie Underwood on my truck’ I was sold immediately. I’ve made my share of mistakes and learned the hard way what can happen if you mess it up. This song emphasizes the fact that you better treat your girl right… or she’ll go ‘all country on you’.”
God knows, old dogs can learn new tricks, i.e., guys can listen and learn. 😉 The Streamsound Records song will impact radio on January 5.
