Sarah Davidson Rides Success Of Self-Titled Ep As She Preps For A Busy Spring

Country breakout artist, Sarah Davidson has a lot to celebrate as her self titled EP (released March 25) impressively held the #6 position on the iTunes Country Chart on release day and debuted at #9 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Chart. No small feat for a new artist, Davidson also skated in at #30 on Billboard’s top current country albums. In addition to the digital success, the EP is physically distributed at Walmart, which includes the special bonus track, “Bright Lights, Big City,” the title track Davidson penned and recorded for TNT’s unscripted series Private Lives of Nashville Wives.

Davidson has been on the road the last several weeks visiting various major-market radio stations throughout the country in support of her debut radio single, the anthemic “Drink You Up.”  Davidson has reached every corner of the country for in-studio interviews, from San Diego to Pittsburgh, and everywhere in between.

“I’m extremely honored and humbled by the outpouring of love and support from people connecting with the music,” says Davidson. “I’m so grateful for the opportunity to be on the road meeting such amazing people and radio teams. It’s such a dream come true and I’m embracing every moment.”

Later this week, Davidson heads to Las Vegas for the 49th Annual ACM Awards where she will participate in radio rounds, industry events and the red carpet.  She has also been tapped as In Touch Weekly’s correspondent and blogger throughout weekend. The ACM Awards are broadcast LIVE from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, April 6 at 8:00 p.m. ET on CBS. Adding to the excitement, Davidson has been announced as Halftime entertainer at the NCAA Women’s Final Four Championship Game on Tuesday, April 8, performing live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena.  Davidson will have her full band in tow to perform songs off her brand new EP, along with some surprise guests, to rock one of Nashville’s most coveted stages.
