Sam Hunt: #1 Song, #1 Album and a Headlining Tour

Just a mere 6 months ago you may not have heard the name Sam Hunt. There was certainly chatter of him in the music industry as he had made a name for himself as a songwriter. (“Cop Car“, “Come Over“) Taking lead from the hip hop community Hunt released a mix tape in 2013. This was a game changer for him. People who ordinarily wouldn’t have listened were given an opportunity to hear the music and decide if they liked his style. He developed an underground following of fans patiently waiting for his next move. That came in the form of a polished up album, MONTEVALLO, which immediately shot to #1.  The lead single “Leave the Night On” lands at the top spot of both Billboard and Mediabase charts, was certified platinum, and became the highest debut for a new artist in history. Needless to say, in record time, you will have a hard time finding someone who doesn’t know, and love, Sam Hunt.

This week Hunt announced he was launching his first headlining tour early next year. Lipstick Graffiti Tour will bring along high octane duo Native Run and Florida native, Michael Ray, as opening acts.  The tour kicks of January 29 in West Hollywood and will wrap up in mid April.
