From the moment Russell Dickerson hit the stage on the Home Team Tour show that I attended, he immediately captured my attention. The vibe and energy he brought to the show was something like I’ve never seen before and I knew from that moment that he was someone I needed to get behind. Since then he has played more shows on the Home Team Tour, took the stage for CMA Fest, and performed on The Bachelorette! His presence has continued to grow with so much momentum! He recently teamed up with one of Dayton, Ohio’s hottest country music radio stations, K99.1FM, for one of their signature unplugged shows. I was so excited to get to go cover the event!
This event was super cool because it was so laid back and intimate, just Russell Dickerson and his guitar. He played all of the songs you get when you pre-order his upcoming album, details below, along with his new song “Billions.” “Billions” is a song with a beachy vibe that makes everyone want to have fun. The entire time he was on the stage he had fun, joked around, made everyone feel like they were the only people in the room, and even dedicated his song “Yours” to several ladies who were engaged and using the song in their wedding.
K99.1FM did a fantastic job with the event! They warmed everyone up for the show and made sure that we were having a great time! Russell Dickerson put on a great show! His vocals were amazing, and he left everything on the show! He is definitely someone you are going to want to keep an eye on, I see big things in his future and I’m so glad that I’ll get to say I saw him when he played acoustic in a bar!
Russell Dickerson’s first full length album “Yours” is expected on October 13th, but you can pre-order your copy now and instantly get “Every Little Thing”, “Yours”, “Blue Tacoma”, “MGNO”, and “Yours (Wedding Edition).”
