The turquoise gulf waters and sugar white sands have attracted visitors for years to Panama City Beach. Adventurers can find plenty to do and the area boasts a perfect backdrop for those simply coming to relax. When Executive Producer, Rendy Lovelady, began research for a location to hold the Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam (August 29-31), all signs pointed to Panama City Beach. After much research Rendy learned three things; People love the beach, country music and to stay on location.
The area has 18000 waterfront condos. Lovelady partnered with 8 different resorts to provide fans an affordable experience. The lodging packages offered essentially provide guests a chance to stay on the beach and get their tickets to the 3 day festival included in the price. Organizers wanted to make it affordable for consumers and turn it into a vacation for all.
Headliners include the biggest names in country music today – Carrie Underwood, Dierks Bentley and Blake Shelton. Joining them are artists such as Jon Pardi, Love and Theft, Randy Houser, Laura Bell Bundy, Casey James, Big & Rich, Kirstie Lovelady, Neal McCoy, Cassadee Pope and more. It was important to offer a range of musical styles and ages to the line up. Last year the festival attendees included families, partiers and grandparents. Lovelady wanted to ensure there was something for everyone.
When asked what he wanted fans to come away with Rendy humbly said…
“In my heart I want them to experience the greatest music festival of all time. I want them to come back to Panama City and realize that its a destination location for all ages. I want them to experience the great restaurants in the area, the best condos, and say the shuttle service was top notch. Most of all I want it to be fun, safe, and something they want to attend every single year”.
