October Rose peels back the layers in their newest single “Hits Home”. Leanne’s vocals take us on a walk down memory lane, bringing up the emotions of what used to be, the love that was had, and reality that, it’s over.
All that I think of, is the memory of our love
Etched in every corner, street, and stone
And I’m reminded that I left this town alone
And it really hits home.
This is a breakup song. It pulls all the break-up song strings on your heart. But we love a good breakup song in country music. We crave it! It allows us to tap into our own feelings, relate to the lyrics, and feel like we are not alone in going through something tough.
I will end this review as many of my others of October Rose’s music. The duo always manages to keep their catalog varied. One thing I believe the fans of October Rose truly admire.
