When Lee Brice attends the Grammy Awards later this month in Los Angeles, he’s going to be on the hunt to meet pop star P!nk. Lee is currently working on his new studio album, and he is dying to get Pink to sing with him on one of the new songs, “Somebody’s Been Drinkin‘.”
“It’s kinda like this booty call, late-night song. But it’s very sultry,” Lee explains to ABC News Radio. “So, her raspy, crazy voice on this kind of ballad song you wouldn’t expect Pink on, it will be stupid good.”
If Lee can’t get to Pink at the Grammys, he’s working a few other contacts to pitch the song to her.
Lee says, “The writers of the song, they know her [music] publisher. We know her publicist.”
Lee is nominated for Best Country Solo Vocal Performance for “I Drive Your Truck” at the Grammy Awards, airing live on CBS Sunday, January 26 at 8 p.m. ET. He expects to release his new single, “I Don’t Dance,” to radio around Valentine’s Day.
