Concerts are back. I’ll say it again, because I can – CONCERTS. ARE. BACK. We’ve made it through what was, no doubt, the weirdest year of our lives; and things are finally getting back to normal. My birthday was last week, so it was the perfect excuse (like I needed one) to make the 3 hour drive from East Tennessee to Anderson, South Carolina on Saturday. American Idol winner Laine Hardy and one of my personal favorites, Chris Bandi, had a show at Denver Downs Farm. Perfect post-birthday weekend!
Bandi opened the show with his energetic “Dirt on Me” and got the almost sold out crowd excited for the night ahead. You could literally feel the joy radiating from him as he talked about being able to perform again. He then promised to never take it for granted again and continued with an incredible set. His signature vocals quieted the crowd as he sang his tear jerker, and current radio single, “Would Have Loved Her.” You can check out his website for future tour dates here. Hardy came out to a loud & rowdy crowd that couldn’t contain their excitement of seeing the Louisiana native. A simple smile and wave from Hardy led to screams and cheers from everyone around. He and his band really put on a great performance. It was fun to watch fans of every age, literally small kids all the way to grandparents, as they all sang along & just had a great time. Hardy sang some new tracks, and that included his newest release, “Memorize You.” You can keep up with all things Laine Hardy right here.

For those of you local and within driving distance of Denver Downs Farm, I highly recommend checking out their venue & future shows. They promised to have several concerts on the books for this summer!
