Kenny Chesney Launches No Shoes TV

Somewhere on the Road: Kenny Chesney has always believed in getting his fans as close as possible. He started the Sand Bar at his shows to let the hardcore fans come down front and dance before it was a country music standard. He launched No Shoes Radio to let fans take the vibe of his music and shows with them anytime, anywhere via smart phone app or online (noshoesradio.com.)

Now he launches No Shoes TV, a quick-hit round-up of the best moments at this year’s The Big Revival Tour’s major stadiums shows. Correspondent Deanna Kay – who kicks the series off at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena — will catch up with the No Shoes Nation in the parking lot, on the road, in the stands and anywhere she thinks there’s a moment to capture.

“I’ve always said there is so much more to these shows and this tour than what happens onstage,” says Chesney. “The No Shoes Nation are the most passionate music lovers I’ve ever seen. When you get out amongst them, you can’t help but get swept up. And I wanted to give the people who can’t be there a chance to get the feel for the whole day… because some of what happens, you’ll never get a regular TV network to make part of a concert special.”

The camaraderie, the stories, the friendship, the boats, the cornhole challenges, the cook-outs… That’s just the tip of the iceberg. Veteran reporter Kay understands: she’s been capturing the fan pre-game action as part of ESPN Music’s “College Game Day” for years, as well as interviewing celebrities for ESPN Music’s “Game Time with Deanna Kay.” Her work has also been an integral part of VH-1’s “Big Morning Buzz,” as well as doing behind the scenes work for MTV’s “House of Style,” “TRL,” the annual “Video Music Awards” and “Jammed.”

“My dream job is to be an on-camera host mixing sports, music and social media. I want to make people smile, be informative and fun,” Kay says. With her high-energy personality and natural curiosity about people, she will be channeling the shows for anyone who can’t make it.

Kay will also be a ticket source. During tour stops, she will hide tickets, leaving clues via social media (@NoShoesNation on Twitter/Instagram, as well as No Shoes Nation’s Facebook page) to give fans the opportunity to have scavenger hunt fun and get upgraded, as well as rewarding people with the best stories some of the coveted wristbands for the GA area down front.

No Shoes TV—which lives on Kennychesney.com — brings the No Shoes Nation experience into view for people who love his high-energy shows and life-defining music. Whether you’re spending the summer chasing the Corona Light-sponsored Big Revival Tour or hearing any number of his 26 No. 1s floating out of the radio, No Shoes TV will put you right in the heart of the action.
