Joshua Scott Jones, formerly of the duo Steel Magnolia, has released his first-ever solo single “Honk (If You’re Tonky).” The track is from his debut LP, The Healing, which follows Steel Magnolia’s break – as well as the end of his romantic relationship with former band mate Meghan Linsey.
The band’s future was in question after parting ways with their label Big Machine Records in 2012, but Linsey says they could potentially reunite some day in the future.
“I’m not saying we’ll never make another record because you never know,” she told Country Weekly.
“We were together personally for a long time, almost six years, and we did break up. We basically took some time to ourselves, reconvened, decided we could tour together, decided to go ahead and book the dates, and then in the meantime, we started working on our solo projects.”
The single “Honk (If You’re Tonky)” is currently available HERE via Amazon and iTunes.
