Okay y’all, it’s time to do what country fans do best – rally around our artists. Jesse Labelle, a great friend to Got Country, was in a terrible accident on Valentine’s Day. He was driving to a concert in Pennsylvania when he hit a patch of black ice. His van spun out of control, hit some trees, and immediately caught on fire. He was able to get out of the van with only a small burn, but lost everything except his guitar. Labelle said “I was trapped inside the vehicle and had to kick the drivers side door open to break through the branches that I was caught between. I was able to grab only my guitar from the backseat before the entire car and the trees around me started to burn. I lost everything that I had in the car with me, including the car itself. This was both my car here in Nashville, and my touring van, loaded with everything I use when I play live. My gear , merchandise, clothing, wallet, identification, credit cards, keys…everything was burned.
As any musician reading this knows, we live out of our vehicles like second homes.”
Jesse is a truly talented musician, and one of the nicest guys we’ve worked with. While we are so thankful he is ok, let’s do what we can to get him back on the road! You can donate below at Jesse’s GoFundMe page. Please do whatever you can as it will all add up!
