When Jerrod Niemann moved to Nashville from Fort Worth, Texas in 2000, his sights were not only set on causing mayhem on Music Row with his wildly creative songwriting, unique vocal prowess, and on-stage antics, but also on the realization of a childhood dream: to headline the renown Ryman Auditorium.
Although he has played its hallowed stage on occasion, he will soon have his name appear on the ticket as the marquee act on Friday, September 12. Tickets go on sale Friday, June 13 at 10:00 a.m. on Ryman.com.
“To say I am excited to headline at the Ryman is an understatement,” Niemann shares. “I remember when I first moved to town, my buddies and I would hang out in the honky tonks off Lower Broadway and the Mother Church of Country Music would always smile down at us from her perch. It’s a rite of passage for all musicians to grace her stage as the main act, and I am very much looking forward to having that honor.”
The Sea Gayle Records/Artista Nashville artist found huge success this year with his RIAA Gold-certified multi-week number one hit “Drink to That All Night” from his third major label release High Noon. He recently released a remix of the song featuring international superstar Pitbull. Niemann’s new single, “Donkey,” was just released to country radio and is currently climbing the charts.
Niemann co-wrote eight of the 13 tracks on High Noon, the 2014 follow-up to his acclaimed, musically adventurous 2012 release, Free The Music. Niemann’s chart-topping critically acclaimed major-label debut, 2010’s Judge Jerrod & The Hung Jury, produced the No. 1 smash and RIAA-certified Platinum digital single, “Lover, Lover,” and the Top 5 and RIAA-certified Gold digital single, “What Do You Want.”
Niemann is currently performing headlining dates across the country and will join Keith Urban as direct support this summer on the Raise ‘Em Up Tour.
