NASHVILLE, TENN. (March 5, 2019) — One to watch GABBY BARRETT is bursting on to the scene since the release of her single “I Hope,” notching 4 MILLION streams in just under a month and cracking the Top 15 on the iTunes Top Country Songs chart. Gaining recognition, Barrett is one of the newest members of CMT’s Artist Discovery Program, an initiative that spotlights and develops emerging talent in Country music. Adding to the excitement, Barrett is serving as a mentor for Pittsburgh’s Women Who Rock Rising Star Contest. Women Who Rock is an organization that empowers women in music through workshop and performance opportunities, while raising money to benefit women’s health research. Contestants will have the opportunity to perform an original song at the Women Who Rock Benefit, cut a song at The Vault Recording studio in Pittsburgh to be released on Vault Records, and have a one-on-one mentoring session with Barrett. Proceeds from the benefit concert support the Magee-Womens Research Institute, the nation’s largest women’s health research institute.Barrett has also partnered with Forever 21 and Girls Inc. to create a capsule collection of inclusive, fun clothing that celebrates women in preparation for International Women’s Day this Friday, March 8. The line, curated by Barrett and nine other young female artists, launched February 21 and is available now at forever21.com.
Taking it to the ice, Barrett will perform the national anthem tonight at the Nashville Predators vs. Minnesota Wild hockey game in Nashville, TN.

Nineteen-year-old Country powerhouse Gabby Barrett came into national prominence in 2018 as a finalist on Season 16 of ABC’s American Idol, and has now burst on to the Country music scene with brand new song, “I Hope.” A native of Munhall, Pennsylvania, and one of eight children, Barrett began singing in her local gospel choir in Homestead, Pennsylvania at the age of nine, started playing shows at age 11 and won the respected Kean Quest Talent Search in 2014.
