Three-time ACM Nominated artist Chris Janson is taking his “Power of Positive Drinkin’” to Late Night with Seth Meyers on Monday, March 14, airing at 12:35/11:35pm CT on NBC. Janson made his late night television debut last year performing his #1 Platinum-certified single “Buy Me a Boat” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. He also recently received his first ever nominations from the Academy of Country Music for New Male Vocalist of the Year and two nominations for “Buy Me a Boat” as Single of the Year and as producer of the song. In addition, iHeartRadio Music Awards recognized “Buy Me a Boat” with a nomination for Country Song of the Year.
“Really looking forward to playing on Seth’s show,” said Janson. “We’re gonna rock the new single. Be sure to watch – it’s gonna be a blast!”
“Buy Me a Boat” was the first single from Janson’s debut album of the same name, and has transformed Janson’s life after a decade of hard work, making him one of country music’s most visible new stars. Acclaimed for his spirited harmonica playing and riveting live show, his follow-up single “Power of Positive Drinkin’” is currently climbing the country charts.
Closing out 2015 with a bang, Janson landed on multiple year-end lists, including Billboard’s Top New Country Artist list (#2), The New York Times Best Songs of 2015 for “Buy Me a Boat” and Rolling Stone Country’s Best list for his full-length debut. Adding to the industry recognition, he was chosen as a 2016 Next Big Thing by MusicRow, received standing ovations for his electric performance at the prestigious New Faces concert during Country Radio Seminar, netted three ACM Award nominations (New Male Artist of the Year & Single of the Year), is up for Country Song of the Year (“Buy Me a Boat”) at the iHeartRadio Music Awards and has played the Grand Ole Opry more than 130 times. His incredible success earned him spots on tour with Toby Keith, Luke Bryan and current run with labelmate Blake Shelton‘s 2016 Tour Presented By Gildan.
