Early this morning TMZ reported rumors that Miranda Lambert‘s alleged affair with Chris Young and another man, not in the music business, were the cause of her split with husband Blake Shelton.
While Young is generally not one to entertain the rumor mills, he felt the need to address the situation before the conversations escalated:
Fans of Lambert and Shelton have been up in arms over the celebrity split and a sense of blame was starting to set inappropriately on Young. It’s no secret that Lambert and Young, label mates, who also once shared a manager, are friends. To most it’s also common knowledge that Young and Shelton share a bromance, often tweeting each other little digs and sharing affection in public. TMZ has since removed Young’s name from their original article.

We hope that Miranda and Blake can manage some privacy and compassion during this time and Chris’s name be wiped clean from the slate of judgement before anymore damage is done. Continued prayers and thoughts to all involved.
