Chase Rice, during free time from tour, will be one of the estimated three Billion expected to watch the Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia with the Opening Ceremonies happening tonight (2/7).
“I love the Olympics winter and summer, I think it’s awesome, a cool event,” Chase describes to Dan Van from Albright & O’Malley & Brenner. “I know there’s a lot of stuff going on about the terrorism and all that, that’s scary, I guess as an athlete you go over there if your taking the risk you forget about it once you’re there and you’re going for your goal.
Chase will turn on NBC during the next couple of weeks to catch some of his favorite events.
“I’ll definitely be watching I’m a huge snowboarder I love snowboarding, I like bobsledding just because of the Jamaicans, ‘Cool Runnings’ was one of my favorite movies growing up, but anything with Shawn White in it I’m going to watch, anything extreme sports I love. But yeah Half Pike is what I’m really forward to.”
Chase also follows anything extreme during the Summer Olympics as well and has a wish for a new sport during the 2016 Summer Olympics.
“I wish they would put Wakeboarding in the summer Olympics that would be sick I think America would dominate that one.”
Chase is climbing the chart with his release ‘Ready Set Roll,’ currently in the Top 50 and on the rise still.
