Snagajob, America’s largest hourly employment marketplace for job seekers and employers, today announced the call for submissions for its third annual Hourly Gig contest, which gives aspiring musicians the opportunity to showcase their talents on a national stage.
This year’s Hourly Gig winner will be given an all-expenses paid trip to Denver to be the opening act for, Chase Rice, during his September 5 concert.
To enter the Hourly Gig contest, submit a video of an original song performance at www.TheHourlyGig.com before the entry period closes on August 8. Entries will be evaluated on creativity, talent and entertainment value by a team of expert judges. Entries will be narrowed down to five finalists by the judges, with the eventual winner determined by a popular vote.
“Snagajob’s Hourly Gig gives aspiring musicians across America that work hard all week while also trying to make it in the music industry the chance to perform on the national stage,” said Snagajob CEO Peter Harrison. “This contest continues to grow in popularity and we fully expect the competition this year to be its toughest yet.”
Rice, who co-wrote the number one single “Cruise” performed by Florida Georgia Line, is currently climbing the country music charts with his recent single “Ready Set Roll.”
“I’m excited to team up with Snagajob for this year’s Hourly Gig competition to help give an hourly worker their big break,” said Rice. “I know how hard it is to break into the music industry, and I can’t wait to see what all the up-and-coming musicians have in store for their music videos and the chance to perform on stage as my opening act.”
Rice is currently touring the country to promote his new album Ignite the Night, available August 19.
