We posted about Cale Dodds’ fundraiser for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital back in February. His goal was to raise $10,000 before he ran the Nashville Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon on April 28. Running the marathon had special meaning to Dodds sadly due to dealing with cancer in his family & also after meeting two kids during his visit to St. Jude earlier in the year. The morning of the race Dodds shared that, thanks to many generous donations, he surpassed his goal and raised $14,000!
Fans of Dodds have surely seen is “CaleCam” videos which offer a look behind the scenes of his crazy antics. Well, he went a different route in order to document this incredible event. He exclusively told Got Country, “Obviously I couldn’t run AND talk during this entire race, so I had to assign the next best option. Tune in to watch the first edition of “MomCam” and see where I truly get it from.” Congrats to Cale, his team, and all who ran the marathon to benefit the amazing families at St. Jude.
