Brandy Clark will debut her music video for her song “Get High” on PerezHilton.com today, at 3:00 PM/PDT. The video was directed by Becky Fluke. The song is from Clark’s highly-acclaimed album, 12 Stories.
Hilton has written about Clark several times on his well-read blog, referring to her as “our favorite new country singer since Kacey Musgraves!” On various posts he has enthusiastically written, “This fierce and fiercely talented woman is helping to change country music! Elevating the genre! The women are taking over and we love it! Clark makes music that is confessional and country but approaching it from a smarter place. She’s analyzing and criticizing while celebrating and paying respect. And she is most definitely NOT singing about pickup trucks!!! And her melodies… oh are they sweet!”
Clark is currently touring with Jennifer Nettles. This week, the tour visits California, where they will perform in San Jose at the San Jose Civic Center on Mar. 27; in Bakersfield at the Majestic Fox Theater on Mar. 28; and in Los Angeles at The Wiltern on Mar. 29.
