I had the honor of seeing Ava Paige open for Cale Dodds back in October. Talented is one word to describe Ava. While that’s a very accurate description, strong is another word that comes to mind. Ava has fought harder in her young life than many of us who are much older can even fathom. At the age of 15 she was told she had leukemia. To see where she is just a couple of years later is truly incredible.

Today Ava released a new single, “Even Jesus Cried.” The song was co-written by Ava herself, and Charles (Chip) Esten. Yes, that Chip Esten – The Office, Nashville, Outer Banks… Pretty dang impressive, Ava!
As we go through life, we all try to put on a brave face. We feel that we must always be strong. We can’t be seen as weak. Forget allowing someone to see you cry! “Even Jesus Cried” gives the listener a much needed perspective.
