Emotional and dealing with a bad breakup, Austin Webb, turned his car heading to Charleston around, and found himself in at the grave of the great Johnny Cash. Although random, this unexpected road to Nashville was no accident. The very same day he met Charlie Louvin at a local Waffle House who went on to become a friend and professional mentor until the day he died. Shortly after arriving in Music City, Austin won a songwriting competition, made a demo and was soon after awarded a record deal with Streamsound Records. Austin lived out a dream when he graced the stage of the Grand Ole Opry for the first time singing “Why Me Lord” which he dedicated to Kris Kristofferson and Jesus.
His heartfelt first single “Slip On By” reached top 40 of country airplay charts. Still showcasing his soulful sound his second single, “Raise ‘Em Up” has a completely different feel. Its a fun, energetic party anthem. Written by Webb, James Slater and Erik Dylan the song has been critically accepted by industry professionals. Austin says:
“ ‘Raise ‘Em Up’ serves as a reflection of what I feel on stage when I perform and the experience I want my fans to have when they come to my shows. This is the entertainment business, and I’m here to entertain!”
Austin Webb has just released a lyric video for “Raise ‘Em Up”. Watch here:
