Ashley McBryde Releases Lyric Video for “Light On In the Kitchen”

I was driving this morning and Ashley McBryde’s current single, “Light On In the Kitchen” came on the radio. (Shoutout to The Highway on Sirius XM) I’ve heard the song several times, and I love it every single time it comes on. I was thinking that I should post about it, even though it’s been out for a couple weeks already. Well, Ms. McBryde gave me a perfect reason to share today! The lyric video for “Light On In the Kitchen” was released today!

This is such a great country song. McBryde wrote it in honor of her mom, and the song provides wise advice that we can all use.

“Honey, trust yourself / You better love yourself / ‘Cause ’til you do, you ain’t no good for anybody else”

“If somethin’ tries to hold you back / Get up and give it hell / And for heaven’s sake / Always have a place / That you can do some cryin’ and some bitchin’ /
And always leave a light on in the kitchen“
