ARTIST FEATURE: Emily Ann Roberts

Today we are featuring Emily Ann Roberts & her newest single, “How The Car’s Running” (written by Roberts, Tiffany Goss and Simon Reid.) It is a heartfelt story song showcasing a conversation between Roberts and her dad.  Roberts, who has “ some serious vocal firepower” (Rolling Stone), was thrust into the spotlight as a teenager when she competed and finished second on Season 9 of NBC’s hit reality show The Voice. That experience required Roberts to mature quickly personally and professionally and really helped solidify the special bond she shares with her parents.

“This song is so special to me because it’s full of all the things I hear on the phone with my dad,” says an emotional Roberts.  “Being on the road all the time and away from my family has shown me how precious a simple phone call can be.”

Roberts has been performing the song live for the past few months and the fan reaction has been overwhelmingly positive.

“Every time I’ve played this song live, I have so many people come up to me and tell me their dad asks the same questions and gives the same encouragement,” adds Roberts. “It’s so special to share a song that means so much to you and then see it touch someone else’s life as well.”

Roberts and her parents will be featured in the music video for “How The Car’s Running” slated for release on April 9.
