Well, we’ve almost made it through the first week of #Quarantine2020. Let’s all hang at home so we can beat this thing! Today we bring you a brand new duet from Alana Springsteen & FILMORE.
The story of how the two met is a bit comical. Springsteen’s dad was Filmore’s Lyft driver awhile back and embarrassingly ran out of gas while driving him, which he had never done before. While stopped at the gas station, Filmore was trying to Shazam one of Springsteen’s demos that her dad was playing in the car and nothing would pull up for him. Finally, Filmore asked who he was playing and Alana’s dad proudly told him that it was his daughter, and she was the reason why he and their family of six moved to Nashville years ago. Filmore told her dad that he did music too and he would follow her saying that “his handle is Filmore.” Her dad recognized the name because Alana was already a fan of his at this time. Filmore attended her debut EP release show in June and became such a fan that he invited her out on tour with him shortly following. When asked about the single Springsteen said, “If you had told me a year ago I was gonna be releasing a song with Filmore this month, I probably wouldn’t have believed it. The second I heard his voice on this song I fell in love with it even more! Such a dream collaboration for me and I can’t wait for the world to hear it.”
