I am sure by now we have all seen, cried over, and re-watched the vidoes that Lauren Alaina, Brett Young, and Midland have all posted to their social media accounts within the last few weeks. As if receiving a personal phone call from Reba McEntire wasn’t in itself an exciting moment, how about learning that there are three new ACM winners, and you’re one of them.
Lauren Alaina, along with her powerhouse of a voice and positive message in her recent hit “Road Less Traveled,” was undeniably one of the most listened to songs of 2017. The 23 year old former American Idol and now, New Female Vocalist of the year winner has surely left her mark on country music and has earned her spot on that ACM stage.

The award for the ACM New Male Vocalist of the year is heading home to its rightful owner, Brett Young. The singer has been releasing hit after hit off his debut self titled record, such as “In Case You Didn’t Know,” “Sleep Without You” and his most recent, “Mercy.” Young’s unique tone sets him apart and his lyrics are always drawing us in, making him one to keep a close eye on as his career continues to grow.

Midland is taking home the well deserved ACM New Vocal Group of the year award shortly after releasing their first single “Drinkin Problem,” and winning over the country music world with their distinct style and classic sound. While their newest single might be called “Burn Out,” their future is looking brighter than ever.
@Midland
The 2018 ACM Awards will be live from Las Vegas on Sunday, April 15th! Tune in to CBS to catch Lauren Alaina, Brett Young, Midland, and all of the other artists that make up our beloved country music community.
About The Author
There was no specific event that made me fall in love with country music, it was simply the style that hit me the hardest. I’ve been involved with music from a young age and it has helped get to where I am today. I graduated Albright College with a degree in Music Business and currently work in New York City with Music Licensing. When I’m not working with music, you can find me listening to it, watching it, or playing it. I consider myself lucky when I look back at the various concerts I’ve attended, from classics such as Brooks & Dunn and George Strait, to the incredible new talents of Eric Church and The Band Perry. It only makes me want more. Music is something I can always count on and I’m excited to have the opportunity to share this love with all of you!
