Orlando, Florida native, Amanda Cooksey, has released the video for her single “In Denial.” Cooksey shot the video on the beach in Florida, and honestly between that and the 50s vibes of the song – it’s what we need after a year of corona (and not the good kind.) The cotton candy skies she sings of dance around in the background. The song itself speaks of the time after a relationship has ended and it’s hard to believe it’s actually over. Cooksey accomplished her vision for the song, which she co-wrote with Michael August, Austin Nivarel, and Steve Lester, in this video by creating an actual place called denial, where she was able to grieve in her “own private paradise where the breakup never happened,” according to the artist.
I’m really loving this song and video. We can all use a bit of denial every now and then…
