Cole Swindell grew up in Bronwood, Georgia and also graduated from Georgia Southern University in 2007. Fresh out of college, Cole sold merchandise for fellow Georgia native Luke Bryan. Some may call it fate or call it destiny, but to me, it’s nothing short of watching how each step you take in life and the people you meet can really point you in the right direction towards your dreams and goals. That is as long as you have hope and faith within to get you to that place that God put in your heart.
In 2010 Cole signed a publishing deal with Sony/ATV Music Publishing, and in 2013 released “Chillin’ It,” where it kept inching its way up on the charts. After that he then signed a record deal with Warner Music Nashville. You also may recognize Cole’s name after penning some songs for other artists like Craig Campbell, Luke Bryan, Thomas Rhett and Scotty McCreery. For me, it wasn’t hearing, “Chillin’ It,” on the radio first that made me a fan of Cole, but it was falling in love first with a lot of the songs he wrote off of Luke Bryan’s, Crash My Party. Cole Swindell is pure talent, whether it be with his songwriting, or his vocals. He is one artist that will be around for the long haul.
Cole Swindell will release his self-titled album on February 18th, 2014. I’ve had the chance to preview every single song off of his album and each of the twelve tracks is a beautifully crafted masterpiece. Three of the gems on the album are, “Chillin’ It,” “Hope You Get Lonely Tonight,” and, “Ain’t Worth The Whiskey.” Another one that will do well is, “I Just Want You,” I know the ladies will find it romantic. This album is the real deal, with songs about life, heartbreak, the place that you call home, and the things you learned along the way growing up.
I think Cole’s story is amazing and definitely inspiring because you never know where the next chapter in your life is going to take you. After having sold merchandise for Luke Bryan, Cole’s life played out before him in moments that others would dream of. Currently Cole is opening up for Luke Bryan on his That’s My Kinda Night 2014 Tour. If that’s not enough to sell you on Cole Swindell….Who wouldn’t like a down home Southern boy loyal to his college football team The Georgia Southern Eagles by sporting the team on a baseball cap? There’s just something about that loyalty that screams success!
I’m so excited to see where 2014 is going to take Cole, I hope you are just as excited as I am.
The album is currently available for pre-order HERE and will be available for download next week! This is one you will want in your music library.
