We had the opportunity to chat with Adam Sanders about his new single, “Ruled The World.” The fun filled video stars fellow artists Faren Rachels, Ray Fulcher, Hunter Phelps, Cash Campbell, Mitch Rossell, Drew Parker, and Josh Mirenda. 90s country stars Tracy Lawrence, Aaron Tippin, and Shenandoah make cameos as well. Catch the video below!
How did the idea for “Ruled the World” come about?
The idea came from a thought one of the co-writers and co- producers, Zach Crowell had about an old rap song he knew of… he told us about this song and said we should write the “Country Boy” version of it.
What was the room like the day the song was written? Where was it written?
We started writing it at Chris LaCorte’s studio, who is also a co-producer and writer on the song. I remember someone saying “If I ruled the world, ‘The Devil Went Down to Georgia’ would become our new national anthem.” From there, we were off to the races.
How was this different than the usual 2 – 3 songwriters on a song?
It was a 4 way co-write that day, but it was great because everyone contributed to the song and made it what it is today.
The video is so much fun. What was it like working with so many fellow artists/friends, along with 90s legends?
So amazing! I grew up on Tracy, Aaron, and Marty and Mike’s music and to work with them directly is a dream come true.
What can fans expect from other new music you plan to release this year?
We will be releasing more music later this year and have plans to release an album in some capacity.
