The Roads Below is one of those bands that you’re going to wish you started following way before they blew up. You’ll want to go back and find those original releases that are suddenly hard to find. They are an incredible band that is a favorite around here. “Good When It’s Gone” was released today (10.4.19) and I had it on repeat for most of the day.
Written by frontman Phil Evans, Andrew Beason, & Will Stone, and produced by Zach Abend, “Good When It’s Gone” sings of relishing in the memories of past moments. Evans said, the song “helped me find the good in a lot of things that I never thought I would. I’ve been a control freak my whole life, so learning to embrace things for what they are in the moment has always been tough for me. ‘Good When It’s Gone’ represents that. Letting go of the things we cannot control, finding a light in the dark, and letting love seep in no matter the outcome.”
Oh even though you’re gone, I got those pictures and you got this song. We’re all just trying to hold on, cause it’s good when it’s gone
Check out “Good When It’s Gone” below, and take a little stroll back into 2017 when we first met the band. This is one of my favorite interviews to date. Don’t regret waiting until later to start following these guys!
