Take Part In Second Annual “Tweet-N-Greet” During CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night To Rock Tomorrow Night

CMA will host its second live Twitter feed on ABC.com, Wednesday, Sept. 1 (8:00 – 11:00 PM/ET), during the broadcast of “CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock,” on the ABC Television Network.
Fans can log on to ABC.com to see Tweets from artists including Julianne Hough(@JulianneHough), Lady Antebellum (@ladyantebellum), Reba McEntire (@Reba), Tim McGraw (@TimMcGrawArtist), Blake Shelton (@BlakeShelton), Keith Urban (@KeithUrban), and Zac Brown Band (@ZacBrownBand). Fans can also visit CMAfest.com to follow along with the show using their Facebook account. Each artist will be posting their observations about the three-hour concert special as well as behind-the-scenes tidbits, anecdotes about other artists’ performances, as well as memories from past CMA Music Festivals.
The “Tweet ‘N’ Greet” will create an interactive feed between the fans and artists. Fans will have a direct connection to some of their favorite performers, not only allowing them the opportunity to ask questions, but also providing them with behind-the-scenes access. In addition, CMA (@CountryMusic) will be updating fans with information on the participating artists’ upcoming album releases, tour dates, and appearances. The official hashtag for the event is #cmatv. Fans using the hashtag will be entered to win prizes during the show. For more information, visit: CMAfest.com/tweet.

“As an event, CMA Music Festival is about these unique interaction opportunities between the artist community and the fans,” said Ben Bennett, CMA Digital Marketing Manager. “The Tweet ‘N’ Greet is a fun, inventive way of translating that artist/fan connection to the ABC broadcast. The artists and fans get to communicate while they share the common experience of watching the television show.”

CMA’s first “Tweet ‘N’ Greet” occurred during the 2009 airing of “CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock.”  The chatter created in the social media space helped keep CMA Music Festival as a Top 10 trending topic on Twitter for the entire broadcast.

“CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock” is hosted by Tim McGraw and features Taylor Swift in the first network television performance of her new single “Mine.” Also performing are Trace Adkins, Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Billy Currington, Alan Jackson, Jamey Johnson, Kid Rock, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride, Reba McEntire, Tim McGraw, Justin Moore, Brad Paisley, Kellie Pickler, Rascal Flatts, Darius Rucker, Blake Shelton, Josh Turner, Uncle Kracker, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, and Zac Brown Band.

Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley To Reunited Another Year To Host The 44th Annual CMA Awards

Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood reunite to host “Country Music’s Biggest Night(TM)” for a third time in 2010. “The 44th Annual CMA Awards” airs live from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on Wednesday, Nov. 10 (8:00-11:00 PM/ET) on the ABC Television Network.

“Carrie and Brad have done a tremendous job hosting and we are very happy to have them back again this year,” said Steve Moore, CMA Chief Executive Officer. “They have developed a natural rhythm and have a great rapport with the audience – both in the house and our fans watching at home. They each have a great sense of humor and timing, which are two essential ingredients for hosting a live awards broadcast.”

“The CMAs are different from any other awards night,” said Brad. “You’re looking at a roomful of people who love each other. And any new viewer will be pleasantly surprised at what they relate to on the Awards and what they like that they had no idea they would like. For that reason alone, this is the most important night of the year for Country Music.”

“It’s all about Country Music,” said Underwood. “We all live here. This is our community. The CMA Awards are in Nashville, the home of Country Music. It’s great to come here and celebrate that every year.”

Blake Shelton To Co-Host The Today Show This Monday

Blake Shelton truly is one of the industry’s “most versatile of contemporary country singers” (The New York Times) and he is showing just how versatile he can be as he co-hosts with Hoda Kotb on Monday, on NBC’s “Today Show.”
This is Shelton’s third time on the morning show this year and fourth appearance overall. The Reprise Recording Artist returns to the morning show after sitting down with Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb less than two weeks ago to discuss his newly released SIX PAK, All About Tonight, which is currently No. 1 on the SoundScan Top Country Albums chart and his single, “All About Tonight” is No. 1 this week on the Billboard and Country Aircheck (Mediabase) charts. Shelton joked with Gifford that she may not be welcomed back after his stint as co-host for the morning show.

“I don’t think the Today Show knows what they really signed up for with me co-hosting,” Blake says. “I mean, have you read my tweets? I hope they’re ready to sensor me.”

All About Tonight debuted at No. 1 on the SoundScan Top Country Albums chart and No. 6 on Billboard’s Top 200 chart, making it Shelton’s highest charting record to date. Shelton also received the No. 1 spot this week on the Billboard and Country Aircheck (Mediabase) charts with his single, “All About Tonight.” This marks his second No. 1 of the year and seventh of his career. Shelton is the only solo male country artist – one of three artists overall (Carrie Underwood and Zac Brown Band) – to log more than one chart-topper so far this year on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs with his singles “Hillbilly Bone” and “All About Tonight.”

Carrie Underwood Use To Suffer From Panic Attacks

Carrie Underwood has revealed she used to suffer panic attacks in crowded shopping malls and elevators.  She recently revealed that she likes to shop for groceries in empty supermarkets at midnight, and admits she used to have a big problem with personal space when she was a teenager growing up in Checotah, Oklahoma.

She tells WebMD the Magazine, “I’m a big personal space person. You know, if you go to the restroom, you use the stall that’s not near anybody. Or if you’re in the gym, you go to the treadmill where there’s space in between you. And it seemed like in crowded situations like that, people would just completely violate your personal space.”

She tells the publication that Christmas shopping was “my worst nightmare” and reveals she still has moments when crowded elevators make her start sweating – like one that took place just a day before her interview.

”Every floor we stopped on, we’d cram more people in, and by the time we were done, there was just a ton of people. So I start thinking about all the bad things that can happen, and I’m like, ‘I’ve got to get off the elevator, I need to get off the elevator.’ I was just like, ‘No more stops, please, no more stops!’ “

AOL Music/The Boot Premiere’s Bo Bice’s New Video “You Take Yourself With You”

Bo Bice’s video for his current single, “You Take Yourself With You,” premieres worldwide on AOL Music / The Boot this week. The video was directed by Marcel Chagnon (Clay Walker’s “She Won’t Be Lonely Long,” The Grascals“Last Train to Clarksville”) and was filmed at several locations earlier this summer.

Beautifully shot in rural Nashville, the video includes actual childhood photos of Bice and his family alongside live performance footage, reflecting his poignant lyrics of youth, ambitions and the importance of roots no matter where life takes you.

“You Take Yourself With You” is the first single off his newest CD, 3, which was released earlier this year on Saguaro Road Records.  Bice’s Southern sensibility, earthy vocals and decidedly non-pop performances won over a nation of fans during the fourth season of American Idol, where he landed as the runner-up to Carrie Underwood.   His first single, “Inside Your Heaven,” reached #1 on the pop chart when it was released in 2005 and was certified gold after it became the second-highest debuting song of the year.  His album (The Real Thing) debuted at #4 shortly afterward and was also certified gold, his 2007 follow-up (See The Light) was ranked #1 by VH-1, and he later sung lead on Santana’s single “Brown Skinned Girl” (certified gold).  3 is Bice’s third album and first for Saguaro Road Records.

Bo will also appear on ESPN on August 23rd, performing the National Anthem for the highly anticipated Tennessee Titans vs. Arizona Cardinals football game, where the Titans will play for their fifth win in a row.

Check out Bo’s video by clicking here, then come back and let us know what you thought of it.
